Dear parents and students,
First of all, we would like to welcome new primary, middle and high school students to join our CCSC family, and welcome all CCSC students returning to school!
As the summer holiday is coming to an end and the new semester about to begin, the teachers at CCSC have already made all the preparations thoroughly and are awaiting your arrival!
A new semester symbolizes a new start, new goals, and new expectations. CCSC will continue to follow our school motto - “Wisdom, Virtue, Perseverance, Aspiration” and go down the path of internationalization and Sino-Western education, in order to cultivate students’ noble characters and help them become well-rounded, patriotic talents with international vision and innovative spirits.
In order to successfully begin the new school year, we would like to inform you of the following matters:
I. Military training for the new Grade Six and Grade Ten students:
August 28th, 2017 at 08:30a.m.
Registration procedures and arrangements:
08:30 - 09:30Upon your arrival, please first check the class lists on the second floor main hall. Resident students and their parents (with dormitory payment receipts) should report to their classes after having checked in with their dormitory teachers in the dormitory area. Non-resident students and their parents should directly report to their classes.
09:30 - 10:30Homeroom teachers will hold class meetings for the freshmen and their parents to discuss organizational matters, give out textbooks, and talk about school bus arrangements.
10:30 - 11:30Parents proceed to the assembly hall for a meeting with the principal. After the meeting, parents may leave the school. Students will stay in class to receive their uniforms and meet their classmates.
11:30 - 12:30Lunch time.
12:30 - 16:30Students proceed to the assembly hall for the military training opening ceremony and activities are arranged afterwards. Non-resident students may leave when the activities end.
16:40 - 17:30Daily life and self-management training arranged for residentstudents
I I. Outward bound training for the new Grade One students:
August 31st, 2017 at 08:30a.m.
Registration procedures and arrangements:

09:30-10:00 Homeroom teachers will hold class meetings for the freshmen and their parents to discuss organizational matters, give out textbooks, and talk about school bus arrangements.
10:00-11:30 Parents proceed to the assembly hall for a meeting with the principal and information session about the student registration status. After the meeting, parents may leave the school. Students start their outward bound training.
-Student registration status information session is held for all new Grade One students toregister their national student status online.
-Participants: immediate family members of the Grade One students.
- Documents Needed: original as well as a photocopy of the household register of thestudentand his/her custodian (for those without a household register, please bring other forms of identifications, such as passport or exit-entry permit for traveling to and from Hong Kong and Macau); photocopies must be clear and legible.
- Please use a black gel pen when filling out the application form.
- Remember to write down the information of all family members in detail.
-The information provided for the student status registration must be completely accurate.Once registration process is completed, there shall be no changes or modifications.
16:30-17:30Resident students proceed to the assembly hall for daily life and self-management training.
III. For returning and transfer students:
August 31st, 2017 at 01:30p.m.
Registration procedures and arrangements:
13:30 - 14:30Returning and transfer students report to school. Resident students and their parents should go to the dormitories to tidy up their rooms and report to the classes afterwards. Non-resident students and their parents should go directly to their classes to talk with the homeroom teachers.
14:30 - 15:30Homeroom teachers will hold class meetings for students and their parents to discuss organizational matters, give out textbooks, and talk about school bus arrangements.
15:40 - 16:30Students share their summer holiday experience with classmates.
16:40 - 17:30Resident students proceed to the assembly hall for daily life and self-management training.
IV. Main events happening at the beginning of the new school year:
1、Military training for the new Grade Six and Grade Ten students will be from August 28th, 2017 to September 1st, 2017. Military training performance will be in the afternoon of September 1st, 2017; parents are welcomed to attend. Classes will begin on September 4th, 2017.
2、Outward bound training for the new Grade One students will be starting from the afternoon of August 31st, 2017 to September 1st, 2017. Classes will begin on September 4th, 2017.
3、For returning and transfer students, classes will begin on September 1st, 2017.
4、The opening ceremony for the new school year will be in the morning of September 4th, 2017.
V. Requirements for new students:
1、New students should not bring big amounts of cash to the school, as well as knives, gamingequipment, MP3s, mobile phones,etc.
2、New students should meet the appearance requirements for primary and secondaryschool students (wearing clean and simple clothes, instead of fancy clothes; properand civilized manners; no makeup, no jewelry, no hair dye or perm; no long hair forboys). Parents should timely educate both new and old students who do not follow therequirements; otherwise the homeroom teacher may refuse to arrange admission.
3、There are China Telecom phones installed in the teaching and residential areas. Parentsmay use the their IDs to sign up for phone cards at the China Telecom counter on thesecond floor during the first day of school.
4、Students who will be taking the school bus need to collect their bus ride permit at the Moral Education Department after the beginning of the school year. Please remember to bring the school bus payment receipt with you.
5、For students who do not have insurance, an accidental insurance fee of 100RMB will be collected at the beginning of the school year.
1、The school uses a direct drinking water system; students need to bring their owncups.
2、Students are required to bring their own school bags and stationery.Resident studentsshould bring their own bed sheets and beddings (1.5 x 2 m quilt, 1.3 x 2 m mattress pad), quilt covers (the bed is 1.2 x 2 m), sleepwear, pillows, towels, cups (one for in the classroom andone for the dormitory), slippers, sandals, sport shoes, personal toiletries, clothes forchange, commonly used medicines if necessary (parents should specify the doses),and fee payment receipts (accommodation and tuition fee receipts).
3、New students should bring two 1-inch photos when coming to the school (anybackground color).Students from other provinces and cities need to provide their student registration number and proof of student status (certificate should be given tothe homeroom teacher).
4、To ensure the health of all teachers and students, it is required that every new students need to complete the health check-up before coming to the school and hand in the health certificate to the homeroom teacher (Grade 1 freshmen can submit Heilongjiang vaccination certificate). Parents of the new students need to take their children to the third-level hospital or a physical examination institution to complete the official medical examination before the semester begins; medical examination report should include hepatitis B.
5、School buses will operate normally starting August 31st, 2017 at 16:35. Parents are asked to pick up their children from the bus stops on time. School bus teachers will inform the parents of the specific time and location in advance.
6、Students and parents should pay attention to traffic safetyand take care of their personal belongings to avoid any sorts of accidents.
